Third Grade's Virtual Field Trip

Last week, our third-grade students had the opportunity to be a “pilot class” for the Booth Western Art Museum’s virtual field trip program. Both of our third-grade classes learned about American Indians through a video of traditional dances, interactive maps that showcased animals, resources, and landscape, a display of various art pieces at the museum, a hands-on horse craft modeled by the virtual field trip instructor, and a question and answer session with museum staff. While last week’s field trip certainly looked a bit different than our usual field trip experiences, we love seeing our students explore these new virtual adventures with the world at their fingertips!
