Christian Life Retreat Day Three

wednesday, september 25, 2019

It is officially Christian Life Retreat week at CHS, and we could not be more excited to experience a change of pace, change of place, and change of perspective with our middle and high school students. Yesterday was an incredible ending to the past few days spent with our high school students, as they spent time participating in a variety of team building activities that challenged each individual small group to practice leadership roles, learn to encourage one another, and taught them to dig deep into each other's unique characteristics and abilities. Last night, Director of Christian Life John-Paul Burdashaw shared a message on experiencing Christ and realizing that "the who" is more important than "the what". When it comes to knowing Jesus, the experience is more effective than just explaining who He is, and following Jesus means living like Jesus. A powerful evening of prayer, reflection, and conversation with our students was the perfect conclusion to our high school's first Christian Life Retreat.
