GUIDELINES FOR FRIDAY NIGHT'S VARSITY FOOTBALL GAME
Please be aware of the following update from The Walker School regarding their campus guidelines for Friday night's varsity football game.
There are still families that have not yet selected their student's yearbook photo pose for the 2020-2021 school year from ABLT Photo. All photos have been distributed via email and require attention as soon as possible. We hope that you enjoy our new digital process and the ease of selecting your favorite shot of your student from the variety of different options available. Parents, please check both parent emails on file for your student to access the photos specific to your family. If you did not receive your student’s photos, simply email firstname.lastname@example.org.
CRIMSON AND GOLD NIGHT 2020
Each year, “Crimson and Gold Night” is a highly-anticipated event for our student-athletes and our CHS community. This special time celebrates and recognizes our fall sports teams, kicks off basketball season, and includes a wonderful dinner that benefits the basketball program. Although this year looks significantly different than years past, we wanted to continue our CHS tradition of hosting the event but in a unique way. Rather than a sit-down meal and recognition on campus, this year, our basketball teams will host a drive-through Crimson and Gold Night experience for our CHS community to enjoy.
We invite you to show your support for our basketball program by purchasing dinner plate tickets online HERE. You may buy multiple plates under one registration. This year’s dinner plates will include barbecue, baked beans, and coleslaw for $10 per plate. Plates may be picked up on Thursday, November 12, at any time between 3:20-6:30 p.m., at the Lower and Middle School Campus. Simply pull under the portico located at the front of the campus, and basketball players will deliver your order directly to your vehicle.
Please feel free to contact Tyler Watkins (‘07), Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, via email at email@example.com, with any questions.
As always, thank you for your support of CHS Athletics!
SPIRIT DAY DRESS CODE REMINDERS
SUBMITTED BY TAMI DODD, HEAD OF LOWER AND MIDDLE SCHOOL
Below are friendly reminders regarding our dress code policy for spirit wear days (Fridays). We realize we have a lot of new families who may not be aware of our guidelines and current families who may just need a gentle reminder.
- CHS spirit wear should be worn on Fridays unless it is a special dress up day that has been announced.
- Shorts must come midway at the back of the thigh.
- Shirts should not cover the length of the shorts.
- CHS hoodies can be worn over uniform shirts. Hoods are not allowed to be pulled up over heads in the building.
- Jeans can be worn on spirit wear days but should not have rips where skin can be seen.
Thank you for helping us with this. We want to honor our school spirit while also honoring our standards of modesty.
LUNCH PRE-ORDER DEADLINE
SUBMITTED BY MARISSA HYLTON, FOOD SERVICES COORDINATOR
Due to our vendors needing a longer time frame to gather the necessary supplies for food distribution, lunch pre-orders will be cut off on Friday at 3:00 p.m. for the upcoming week. Please note that FACTS allows you the ability to pre-order as far ahead as the calendar allows, and you are not charged until your child comes through the line. Please feel free to email Marissa directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
Parents, we need your help! To ensure that our families are receiving important messages and mailing material, please take a few minutes to check your information on FACTS and update anything that has changed. We must have a current cell phone number(s), mailing address, and email address(es) on file for your student. Thank you in advance for helping us stay connected!
