This privacy policy explains how we use and disclose personal information that we collect from people who visit our website. Personal Information

This privacy policy explains our practices in regards to personal information. Personal information is any information that can be used to identify, locate, or contact you or, if you are a parent, your child. It also includes other information that may be associated with you, such as information regarding your relationship with us. We use personal information for activities such as enrolling students in classes or programs, signing up for events, processing donations, and providing educational and other services to you and your child. We may use personal information to determine eligibility for enrollment, employment, financial aid, and/or other benefits, as well as to provide marketing communications, surveys, newsletters, and other information from CHS. We also use personal information as needed for our everyday business needs, such as payment processing and financial account management, health and safety, contract management, website administration, analytics, security and fraud prevention, corporate governance, reporting, and legal compliance.

Personal Information Sharing

We limit our sharing of your personal information as follows:

  • We may disclose your personal information to our service providers, who only use the information in accordance with our instructions. In some cases, our service providers may collect personal information for us directly from you.

  • We may share your contact information with other members of the school community, such as in school directories. You may limit the information included in our directories (or opt out entirely) by using the tools provided in FACTS (formerly Renweb). We may share your information if we have your consent, such as if you ask us to provide transcripts to other schools.

  • We may disclose personal information where needed to enforce our rights, protect the rights, property, or safety of others, or to support external auditing and similar functions. We will always disclose personal information when required to do so by law.

Cookies and Other Technologies

When you visit our website, we collect certain information by automated means, using technologies such as cookies, pixel tags, browser analysis tools, server logs, and web beacons. Cookies are small text files that websites send to your computer or other Internet-connected devices to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings in your browser. Cookies allow us to recognize you when you return. They also help us provide a customized experience and enable us to detect certain kinds of fraud. In many cases, you can manage cookie preferences and opt-out of having cookies and other data collection technologies used by adjusting the settings on your browser. All browsers are different, so visit the “help” section of your browser to learn about cookie preferences and other privacy settings that may be available.

Information Security

We have implemented an information security program that contains administrative, technical, and physical controls that are designed to safeguard your personal information. For example, we use industry-standard encryption technology to secure sensitive personal information when it is being collected and transmitted over the Internet as well as firewalls, site monitoring, and intrusion detection software.
