The Heritage Dinner

The Heritage Dinner.

Tuesday evening, CHS faculty members, the CHS Board of Trustees, and the CHS Endowment Foundation, Inc.’s Board of Directors gathered together for the school’s first annual “The Heritage Dinner”, an event dedicated to celebrating the blessings of the past school year, honoring milestones, and bidding farewells to retirees. While the evening was filled with fun times and fellowship with dinner, moments of sweet reflection on the 2020-2021 school year, and a surprise gift raffle of over 10 incredible items, it was also filled with bittersweet farewells to three integral characters in Christian Heritage School’s story thus far.

Vicki Higgins (35 years of service), Susan Sparks (25 years of service), and Anita Goddard (18 years of service) were blessed, celebrated, and honored, as this core group of CHS community members officially concluded each of the current chapters of their CHS stories with their retirement.

CHS Board of Trustees members Scott Humphrey and Stan Lester were also recognized for their service to CHS.

While farewells were bid, we also celebrated another record-breaking school year and honored our incredible faculty and staff. Congratulations to the recipients of the 2020-2021 school year’s newly-named “Anita Goddard Excellence in Teaching Award”, Joni Tenney and Dylan Haley!

Mark your calendars now for Homecoming 2021! On Tuesday evening, CHS announced that this fall, a ribbon-cutting will be held for "The Sparks Library" and "The Vicki Higgins Classroom".

What a beautiful night to be a Lion! We are already anticipating this new annual tradition being a fan favorite amongst our CHS faculty and friends.
