Christian Life Retreat (High School - Day Two)

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2020

Change of pace. Change of place. Change of perspective. The most impactful week in the life of our student body began on Tuesday, as our high school student body kicked off our second annual Christian Life Retreat locally at Crosspointe Christian Centre. The experience continued on Wednesday, as students traveled to Heritage Point Regional Park for the second annual CLR Olympic Games. A kickball tournament, egg toss, tug-of-war battle, and hot dog eating contest were just a few of the many events of the day, and the Class of 2021 took home the highly-coveted golden plunger along with the title of CLR Olympic Games Champions!

The high school's Christian Life Retreat concluded with another amazing worship experience and message by Jared Waldrop. In his final message to the students, Waldrop spoke to the student body on handling the heart attacks of life and the importance of applying the proper corrective lenses of the Word to every aspect of life for both perspective and clarity. He highlighted the concept of redirection and how redirecting our thoughts, memory, and prayers can lead us to focusing on all that God has done for us, which in turn, leads to a more fulfilled life.

We are extremely thankful for this year's Christian Life Retreat experience and how a change of pace, change of place, and change of perspective so positively enriched the high school student body. We pray that the events of the few days spent together will live on within the hearts of our high school students and that each message, conversation, activity, and opportunity had an eternal impact on the lives of every student.
