Tyler has served as the middle school physical education teacher, middle school athletic director, and head varsity boys' basketball coach since 2016. A graduate of Shorter University, he holds a B.A. in Sports Management and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education. A high school and collegiate athlete and coach, he is the all-time leading scorer at CHS and played at Trevecca Nazarene University and Shorter University. During his coaching tenure at Shorter, they won the conference tournament, made it to the Final Four for the NAIA National Tournament, and won the NCCAA National Championship. He has led CHS to one Region Championship, one Final Four appearance, two Elite 8 appearances, and four consecutive appearances in the state tournament. Tyler and his wife, Loni Beth (LB), have two children, Gunner and Rowan, and they reside in Dalton.

Coach Mac began his coaching career at Calvary Christian School (Chattanooga, TN) as the lead assistant varsity coach for two seasons. (2016-2018) He was then named the head coach at Mountain View Christian Academy (Bryant, AL), a position he held for four seasons. In four seasons at Mountain View, his lions compiled an overall record of 75 wins and 32 losses, two region championships, as well as a 5th place finish in the National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) national tournament during the 20/21 season followed by a 3rd place finish in the 21/22 season. He had two players who moved on to play basketball at the collegiate level. (2018-2022) During the 21/22 school year, Coach Mac also assisted the baseball team at North Sand Mountain School helping with the catchers. (2022) Coach Mac played baseball collegiately at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN. During his senior season he batted .337 with 21 RBIs in the season. He was the starting catcher for a Temple team who made an appearance in the USCAA world series and had a 5th place finish in that tournament. (2012-2015) Coach Mac resides in Harrison, TN and feels extremely thankful to be a part of the Christian Heritage School family. Favorite Bible Verse: Philippians 4:11-13 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Steve has served as a coach and history teacher at CHS since 2002. He has over 30 years of coaching experience on the collegiate and high school level. He has coached soccer, baseball, volleyball, and basketball. Steve graduated with a B.A. in Bible from Moody Bible Institute, a B.A. in Psychology from Gordon College, and an M.A. in Physical Education from George Williams University. In addition to coaching, he accompanied the Sports Ambassadors Mens’ Basketball team to West Africa. He is married to the science department chair, Jo-Ann, and they reside in Dalton.
