COVID-19 UPDATE
A Message from the Athletic Director
CHS Community,
Our fall athletic season for both our middle and high school teams is off to a great start! Each of our opponents will have a different set of protocols that they are practicing on their campus amidst the current circumstances. In an effort to keep our community as informed as possible, we will be posting each high school athletic opponent’s protocols for away games on the Today page of our school website at chslions.com/today as they are available. Before traveling to an away game, please check this information hub to ensure guests outside of our athletes’ families are permitted entry.
We wanted to share our own on-campus protocols that will be in place throughout all CHS athletic events for both our community and our visitors:
-
Social distancing will be highly encouraged.
-
Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the stadium.
-
Stadium seating will be marked per social distancing guidelines. Families may sit together, but we ask that fans social distance themselves as much as possible.
-
Masks and face coverings will be highly encouraged where social distancing is not feasible.
-
Guests may bring lawn chairs to set up in any of the open areas surrounding the field (with the exception of on the walkways in front of the stands).
-
Instructional signage will be posted asking guests who have recently experienced any COVID-19 symptoms to refrain from entering the event.
-
Any concession stand sales will include only pre-packaged items.
Thank you in advance for your continued support of CHS Athletics! Please join us in praying for the health and safety of our student-athletes and community.
ATHLETICS THAT BUILD
Home of the Lions.
Sports have a unique way of teaching life skills, and our coaches work to help our students develop the talents God has given them both on and off the field that will carry them throughout their lives. Athletics that Build is more than just one of our pillars; it is the guiding force behind our program. Our team and individual sports programs provide a unique mix of learning, teamwork, leadership, social interaction, and competition for our student-athletes. Through our ten boys’ and eight girls’ varsity teams, we teach our student-athletes that integrity, hard work, and strong faith are as necessary as a ball, bat, or racquet. Our athletes’ efforts and hard work contribute to their own sense of achievement and our community’s collective school spirit.
