Alumni

Forever Crimson and Gold

The Christian Heritage School alumni network seeks to make the CHS experience a lifelong and relevant part of the lives of our alumni and the CHS community as a whole. Your time at CHS does not end when you cross the stage at graduation, rather a new chapter begins. You are changing lives and changing the world, and we are stronger because of you.

Every graduate is automatically a member of the CHS Alumni Association. The Alumni Office strives to serve you no matter what your stage of life. We could not be more proud and honored to follow you throughout your success, and we hope that you will continue to stay involved at CHS by plugging into the strength of your alumni network.

Alumni Spotlight

Meet Sarah ('15)

"After graduating from CHS in 2015, I decided to study dietetics at the University of Georgia. The transition to a huge university was challenging, but I truly feel like CHS prepared me academically. Thanks to Mrs. Irwin, I came to UGA with a strong foundation in chemistry and even used the notes that I took in her class during my freshman year. Some of my favorite classes I took at UGA include biochemistry, macromolecular energy science, and medical nutrition therapy.

For three years, I had the opportunity to work as a student employee at UGA Performance Nutrition. I got to work alongside a team of sports dietitians to provide nutrition education, test hydration levels, measure body composition, determine supplement needs, and much more to help our student-athletes perform at their best. I also spent my time serving as a Student Ambassador for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.

I graduated from UGA in May 2019 with a B.S. in Dietetics. I plan to gain an M.S. in Nutrition in December 2019. After receiving my master’s degree, I hope to be accepted into a program that will qualify me to become a registered dietitian."

Meet Elizabeth ('17)

"I am a junior at Kennesaw State University, and I have absolutely loved my experience so far. I have made friends through school-sponsored clubs such as club tennis, in which I get to go to tournaments throughout the year to play competitively against other schools in the southeast.

This past year, I volunteered as a Peer Leader for international students. I helped to organize and host international student orientations before the start of the year and kept tabs on my group of students throughout the semester to ensure that they were adjusting well to their new environment at KSU. In addition, I work on campus at the Writing Center, and I have the opportunity to help any student who comes into the Center with his or her class essays. It is a job that I have grown to love over the past few months, as I get to work with students from all over campus and utilize the writing skills that I developed at CHS and share my passion for writing with them."

Meet April ('11)

"I attended Dalton State College and worked part-time in Dalton before attending and graduating with an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Lee University in 2016. Since that time, God has instilled a deeper sense of trust and joy in me through friendships and experiences in college that I still benefit from today. I find that so much of how I see Him working is in hindsight, and I am still seeing big and small ways He answers the desires of my heart and shows me His incredible, undeserving grace each and every day. During the day, I have the privilege of working with adults who have developmental or intellectual disabilities in becoming job-ready and sustaining meaningful employment as a Job Coach at Cross Plains Community Partner. I see myself as an advocate for adults who are seeking a place to belong and grow as professionals/independent adults, and I walk away each day with a sense of meaning. I love our community and see it as a privilege to live in Dalton and be a part of making it better. I have two little brothers who also graduated from CHS, Bryce ('14) and Brett ('17). I am extremely proud of their accomplishments so far and as someone who sees them in their least edited forms, I can say that they are awesome young men. My mom and dad inspire me by working hard and living out a life founded on God's Word. My Grandma also shows me how to live with grace and trust in her life in profound ways. To this day, I will forever cherish the memories I made at CHS, my most favorite being trips to Camp Highland and the complete bliss my class experienced on our senior trip to Europe."

Why I Give

Meet Elizabeth ('07)

"Supporting Christian Heritage School is a privilege. As a 2007 graduate, I look back on my four years there with thankfulness. CHS instilled in me a dedication and discipline in academics, sportsmanship in athletics, and ultimately, prompted the growth of a Christlike character. I was well prepared for college and blessed and encouraged by all of my teachers. CHS has been very special to my family over the years, and I am grateful to have seen all three of my siblings graduate after me. I want to continue giving back to CHS as I am able. What an exciting thing it is to see the school grow in so many aspects! May the Lord continue to pour over His provisions upon the students and faculty. I will always be proud to be a Lion!"

-Elizabeth (Dindoffer) Herberich, Class of 2007

Meet Caleb ('07)

"Donating to The Lion Fund is a way to not only provide state-of-the-art facilities for education, but it is an investment in our future by Educating Children to Serve Christ."
