High School
ninth - twelfth grade
Preparing students to thrive in college and in life.
High school at CHS provides opportunities for students to learn about our Creator’s handiwork in His world and in their lives. Student-centered classes and curricula nurture individuals toward discovering who they are in Christ and how to develop the unique gifts and talents they have been given to become the young people He created them to be. These things all take place within a community of trust, where students are given real responsibilities and teachers cultivate genuine fellowship, friendships, and relationships with their students. Our ultimate goal is that graduates of CHS will be armoured with immense knowledge gleaned from coursework along with the 21st-century skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity that will allow them to be successful and bear influence for Christ in whatever journey they find themselves pursuing in life.
COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
Our commitment to excellence yields results: our graduates consistently outscore Georgia and National SAT averages. A CHS education builds the confidence and skills that students need to take the next step in pursuing and thriving in the calling God has prepared for them.
THE CURRICULUM
Students in grades 9-12 are taught Bible, English, mathematics, science, social science, and world language. In addition to these classroom subjects, our high school students have the opportunity to enjoy and explore elective options dedicated to the arts, business, health and physical education, and technology. While our academic roots are in a traditional, college preparatory curriculum, our students are also inspired to dig deeper into their unique God-given talents and interests that will follow them as they pursue their academic journey. Our programs include opportunities for Advanced Placement, dual enrollment, and honors courses, as well as exemplary fine arts experiences for a complete liberal arts education.
COLLEGE-PREP MINDSET. CALLING-PREP EXPERIENCE.
Although we are a college-prep school, we look beyond the next four years to the next forty years with a calling prep mindset. Much time is spent with each student helping them discern the next steps they should take to thrive in the plan God has for their lives. In addition to academic pursuits, students are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities spanning the arts, athletics, and service in order to become fully immersed in the community and develop their God-given talents.
