When can courses be taken?

  • When there are conflicts in the schedule.
  • When CHS does not offer a particular course.
  • When a student desires to take AP courses or dual credit courses.
  • For credit recovery.
  • For fulltime homeschool students who live within a 50 mile radius of CHS and meet CHS standards of admission.

Who do I contact about taking online courses?

  • Contact Judy Fleet, the high school principal.
  • The courses must be approved by the guidance counselor and the high school principal.
  • The high school principal will review the course syllabus and directions for taking online courses with the student and/or parents.

How long do I have to take a course and where can I take the course?

  • Courses may take up to a year to be completed.
  • Online courses may be taken at CHS during an independent study or at home in the evenings/weekends.

What are the online course requirements for CHS?

  • Courses must be approved by the high school principal and the guidance counselor and set up by the secondary principal.
  • An online course cannot be substituted for an existing CHS course.
  • A CHS course cannot be dropped, failed, and/or picked up online.
  • No more than two online credits per year may be taken by on-campus students who must take a minimum of 4 CHS on-campus credits each year unless an exception has been granted by the guidance counselor and the secondary principal.
  • Students will review the online course syllabus and directions with the secondary prinicpal.
  • Fulltime homeschool students must meet once a month with the CHS guidance counselor and attend a chapel. They are elligible to participate in all field trips, class trips, athletics, fine arts productions, social events, and clubs. A uniform is required when meeting on campus or participating in school events where it is required.
  • Students who take 50% of core classes on campus are eligible for CHS athletic team participation.

Middle School (grades 6-8) courses:

  • One course at each level for English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
  • The cost of the course is $650 per student for a full credit course and $550 per student for a half credit course. The teacher for the course will be provided through CHS or Sevenstar Academy, depending on availability of CHS teachers.
  • The tuition for a fulltime homeschool student (6 classes) for a full school year is $3,900. The tuition for a fulltime homeschool student (6 classes) for 1 semester is $3,300. The tuition does not include discretionary options such as field trips, athletic fees, etc.

Students who fulfill all CHS graduation requirements will receive a CHS diploma & will be recognized at CHS graduation in the spring.
